I hope you can help me.
I have a requirement to show a variable (of type WTUser) with a drop down in the workflow task.
I have create a workflow variable of type wt.org.WTUser and made it visible, which is rendered with a drop down.
However, the drop down lists all the users in the LDAP.
How can I limit it to show only few users programmatically (e.g. the users in the role "Design Engineer" for the team instance)?
Any idea what to customize?

Please help me understand why my Creo drawings are not appearing the same as my drawing representation in Creo View. I have multiple drawings of parts and assemblies that are experiencing this issue. Here are the descriptions of the Creo View versions that are messed up: The first has removed all of the dimensions. The second and third, which are assemblies, have added rogue BOM balloons. In one drawing, the BOM balloon is linked to an item, but does not appear on the Creo side. In the other, the balloon appears to be unrelated to anything and has a "..." inside. The fourth drawing has removed dimensions and even hole features from the creo part. I don't think that this is a layer issue or an issue even within Creo, but the rogue balloon linked to an item makes me suspicious. I actually think that it is a representations/annotations issue in Windchill. From the drawing information window, I found Representations/Annotations under the content tab. In this window there is a default representation linked to Creo View and includes the undesirable view. It does not appear that I am able to modify this representation. I can only delete it, but after I do that then I have no Creo View option for the drawing at all. Is anyone familiar with this issue? How do I get Creo View to display the exact same information that I am showing on my .drw file?

I have got an error while installing Windchill 11 on Windows 7 OS. I have attached the screen shots of the error i got after clicking 'Install' button again and again. Kindly help me to get resolved it so that i can install the software easily on my PC.

Has anybody any suggestions as to what object to use within a Change Request to gain impact inputs by multiple functions who may be affected by the change before final approval of the CR is granted?
E.g. When when Function A raises a CR, it is decided that Function B and C will be impacted, and will need to provide an input to the CR before it is granted approval at the CRB stage.
I want to give the Change Admin the ability to send out an object or action to these Functions to enter their inputs, and receive notification once complete, so they can schedule CRB. And I would like these inputs to be non-visible to the other functions, but visible to the Change Admin and other admin users.
I have looked at using an action item, but this is non-subtypeable,and not sure if each one can be access controlled to the specific group of users. Would the Change Analysis or Change Proposal object be able to fulfill this need, or are these objects only applicable in earlier versions of Windchill?
Another other suggestions, or similar examples would be appreciated.

We are trying to pull data from Windchill into Thingworx, either using REST services or InfoEngine Tasks (webject xml). But the REST APIs found in the windchill documentation have less or no samples. Please help us.

When I try to start Windchill services, I get this error in MethodServer logs:
ERROR [main] wt.method.server.startup.services - Failure to start manager wt.index.StandardIndexPolicyManager
wt.services.ManagerException: Couldn't initialize Index manager.
Nested exception is: wt.util.WTException: java.lang.NullPointerException
Nested exception is: java.lang.NullPointerException
At the same time, I get this error in BackgroundMethodServer logs:

I opened a case to tech support but they don't seem to be able to help me. So, I come to you today and I REALLY hope that you can help me.
For information, we made a rehost from another Windchill server (database + LDAP people node) and we cannot start Windchill since this time.

We are starting to load larger Creo models and assemblies into PDMLink, and were wondering what most do or best practices when it comes to publishing. We are looking to move the publishing to after hours, but a problem we are seeing are the representations being created. A few of the models are rapidly changing(iterations over 100), and each time they are checked out/in, the entire model is published and not just the few changes. We get stacked publishing jobs that take a couple of hours each and the representations are filling up the file vaults. Just wondering if there are properties we can set cut down on the representations being produced and maybe speeding up the publish jobs. Many thanks for any info!
We would like to configure Windchill to block creo files that have model check errors.
Web suggests that the settings need to be changed in the Type and Attribute Management utility at Site level.
Can this be done at Product level?
I am installing Windchill11.0. and all of the packages are latest version from PTC software download web site. when attempting to copy service pack to the staging folder, it says "Invalid CD selected. Please select another CD". And all of the others copy correctly. the service pack I download is “PTC Windchill 11.0 Service Pack - Critical Patch Sets Bundles M020 =>> MED-61006-CD-110_M020_M020-CPS04-Bundle.” any ideas?
I am trying to setup Jenkins project to deploy automatically.
Now the source package generated(jar file) via ant script contain “java -jar BIFSDK-*.*.*.**.jar dist” command.
Then next step should be make batch script to deploy the source package to Windchill server. but my issue is
how to make script, that the tools opinion can be selected by script after executing the command "java -jar XXXXXXDist.jar install"？

In order to solve a problem of method server start, I have to do the request:
select WTKEY_SEQ.nextval from dual
I have to do it until its value reaches 163553 but now it is only 139082. Each time I do the request, the value increments of 1.
I don't know very much about SQL and I would like to know if there is syntax to make a loop of this request until it reaches the correct value.

Cannot do any number of WC tasks as I cannot access the lower right part of the Creo embedded web browser.
I have a WTPart & a .prt that are no longer associated. How do I re-establish this association?
