I searched the K-Base and Reference doc page, but couldn't identify which is the exact document to read about these details.

HI all,
I've been trying to (unsuccessfully) install Windchill 10.1 with a remote SQL server (Standard 2012).
SQL server is installed on \\sqlserver and I've managed to succesfully run PSI on that server with no problems. However when I return to PSI on the \\windchill server to continue to install windchill I run into problems at the "Define Settings" section where it asks for details of the following;
SQL Server Installation Directory:
\\sqlserver\d$\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQK\Binn
SQL Server Client Installation Directory:
\\sqlserver\c$\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\Binn
SQL Server DNS Registered Host Name:
\\sqlserver.our.domain.name
However PSI returns the error "Invalid SQL Server Client install location specified" and gives me an example path structure, yet I know that sqlcmd.exe IS in the path I provide!!
What am I doing wrong?

Windchill PDMLink 10.0 M030, running on Windows, connecting to Microsoft AD for user authentication
I change the specified AD server in both the EnterpriseLdap info Engine adapter and app-Windchill-AuthProvider.xml under <Apache>/conf/extra, ran ant -f webAppConfig.xml regenAllWebApps from a WindchillShell set to the Apache directory. In the AuthProvider file I had also changed (objectClass=*) to (objectClass=user) for the EnterpriseLdap service. rebooted, no domain user could log in. So I switched everything back (renaming a copy of the original AuthProvider.xml back to make it active), ran the ant command, changed the Info Engine Adapter etc. Rebooted. Unchanged - no domain user can log in. admin users from the AdministrativeLdap still work fine.
So, question is, what did I screw up? Followed instructions from PTC. Is it possible changing the ObjectClass specified in the Authprovider.xml file screwed something up that doesn't get corrected by changing it back?
Did this to verify we can easily change the AD server specified if the one specified should go down. Was also trying to limit the AD data pulled in to users so I'm not pulling groups, PC names etc. - which it had been to this point (have now been told I can simply do this with a filter in the InfoEngine settings, nothing needed in the Apache settings).
Anyway, right now my users can only work in offline mode until I get this fixed - not very effective.

With the help of the tech that got us through our migration, found this was the fix. Somehow the Apache settings were looking too low in the AD tree.
fix was a correction in the apache conf file (and authprovider.xml)
This :
AuthLDAPURL
"ldap://domain_controller_name:3268/CN=Users,DC=domain,DC=com?sAMAccountName?sub?(objectClass=*)"
Should have been this:
AuthLDAPURL
"ldap://domain_controller_name:3268/DC=domain,DC=com?sAMAccountName?sub?(objectClass=*)"
Hello All, Normally for Legacy data loading we use LoadFromFile Utility from Windchill shell.
I made .csv file. now i want to pass this csv file to this LoadFromFile utility in a seprate java programe without using Windchill shell.
first i need to call wt.load.util.CSV2XML and then wt.load.LoadFromFile.
How i can achieve this by java program.

Hi everyone,
I really need your help. I would like to change the primaryBusinessObject within a workflow. The problem is that I want to create multiple objects (documents, CAD-parts ...) within this workflow and I would like to change these objects by using the method robot (e.g. lifecycle state). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to pass the created object on to the method robot.
The easiest way might be to declare the created object temporarily as primaryBusinessObject and then change the object with the method robot.
Does anybody know if that works and how to declare the created object as primaryBusinessObject?

I have a list of about 15 Roles on the CRB that can be popluated by the CR author or Doc Control at A&V.
Anyone know how to force all the populated roles to vote?
A plus would be that any populated role with more than one User would require both to vote.
OOB lets anyone vote and then the all tasks complete.
If I make the Participant Roles required and All required then the task will hang if there is no one in that role!

I have a workflow with a set up participants activity. The roles are resolved correctly.
But the assigned user gets the activity with all the participants selected by default. If the list is big, he must unselect them one by one. It is not user friendly.
Is there a customization to make the participants unselected by default, or better a button to select/unselect them all ?

I need to change the lifecycle template based on the view of a part i,e.whether its manufacturing or design.How do i do it??
If we only want some doc types created in a particular library – how do we manage that?
For example we have a DMR Library that we only want Production type documents in and another Library that we only want Regulatory type documents in.
I can Deny the Users Group the ability to Create for that Doc Type within the Policy Admin for that Library, but is there a better way than using deny?

I am able to achive this using desktop.getdesktop().browse(new uri(Windchill_DocDownload_URL)) . If any better method is there please suggest.

Have configured WGM for NX-7.5 and am trying to launch NX after creating a new CAD Part in Windchill workspace in the WGM client by accessing the CAD-Document information page and then select open in NX from the top menu. NX is launched but the part is not opened in it. Also on closing this NX session the WGM window is greyed out.
Have done the following settings on the client:

i am using LoadFromFile.doFileLoad(filepath, null, null, null, new Hashtable()); method to load data in to Windchill,
when i execute the program, all data loaded in Windchill at Site Level.
now i want to load same data at Product Level.
My Org Name :: Org1
My ProdutName:: Test Product
i seen Windchill API Releated to doFileLoad Method as shown below,

Right now 10.1 by default hides all the reference documents attached to a part when viewing the structure and you have to right click and select show/hide related information and select documents for them to show up in the structure as children of the particular part they are referenced by.
Is there a way to have them by default be shown in the structure without having to click that show/hide deal?
I need to ensure the MFG Team views only Released Drawings . I modified the Lifecycle state's Access Control and unchecked all permissions for Released State for MFG team . But the policies aren't taking effect

Add the following text to the end of the file %WT_HOME%\codebase\netmarkets\javascript\util\windchill-all.js
executeCancel = function() {};
Note : this change is temporary and will be lost in the next patch install or when running the combine command (ant -f jsfrag_combine.xml)
(b) On the client:
It did not helped our usres.
