Last week I updated my test server from 10.2 m020 csp08 to 10.2 m030 cps09. After starting Windchill, the java.exe processes are staying constant in Memory size. They are not releasing memory like they had been. Is this something new or something broken?

How can I get the user that approve a promotion request using alias attributes?
I'm trying to use alias attribute to dsiplat some informations from a promotion request as attributes on a document.
I got to display the promotion request number and the promotion date using alias attributes, but I also need to display the user that aproves this promotion request.
For date and number promotion request, I use the following mapping:
roleBObject@wt.maturity.PromotionTarget~roleAObject^wt.maturity.PromotionNotice~promotionDate
roleBObject@wt.maturity.PromotionTarget~roleAObject^wt.maturity.PromotionNotice~number
But for approver, I use the following mapping but no value is displayed:
roleBObject@wt.maturity.PromotionTarget~roleAObject^wt.maturity.PromotionNotice~roleBObject^wt.workflow.engine.WfVotingEventAudit~workCompletedBy
If anyone could provide some support, I would appreciate it.

Does anybody know about a new version (for 10.2) of the "Windchill PartsLink Classification and Reuse Administrator’s Guide"?
The latest I found is for 10.1 M030! There are a lot of outdated chapters in it, they do not reflect the changes made.
When searching the reference documents for PartsLink (All Versions, All Types) for 10.2 only the "Windchill Content Overview" and "Read me First" docs are offered.
Am I missing something?

Is it possible to classify parts with more than 5 classification nodes in 10.2

Relationship Report 'as stored' compare to 'Latest:Working'
Hello all,
Creo Parametric 2.0, PDMLink 10.2, M020-CPS14 (new place, 'new' system)
In this system, if a sub-component is checked out / checked in, the Creo drawing Relationship Report can show a disconnect between the 'as stored' and the 'latest' version. I understood that they should be the same version if everything is checked in.
for example: model xyz (checked in) 'latest' -.4, 'as stored' -.3.
maybe there is something I am not understanding.

What are the potential reasons for the "Local files are out of date with workspace" status when using the UWGM?
Beside the status "Out of date with Commonspace" we get the "Local Files are out of date with workspace" status when we use the UWGM with solidWorks.
I would like to know the potential reasons for this status.

ESI - How to prevent user from sending "non-latest" iterations to a distribution target?
Hi,
is there a preference or setting which prevents the user from sending a "non-latest" iteration to the distribution target?
Background:
With the "Send to distribution target" action we're pulling a number from SAP. If the user perfoms this task on a version which is not latest, the newer iterations won't get the number assigned.

Windchill logout?
We share a couple of laptops. On one, Google asked if we wanted the password saved after logging into Windchill. This seems to have locked us into a member account, since we can't find a logout button anywhere.
Looking at similar discussions, I'm not the only one looking. So how do I log out?

How to generate a single level bom with replacements
Currently if you go to the structure tab and select reports you can't generate a single level BOM with replacements. It's only available on multi level BOM. Does anyone know a way to generate a single level BOM with replacements and the replacement part no. and manufacture?

We are using Windchill 9.1. OOTB email notifications for the
workflow task notifications have generic subject with Activity name such
'Approve task' , 'Review task'.
I am trying to find a way to add the ECR/ECN number to the subject such as
'ECR-1234 Approve task', 'ECN-2345 Review task'. I am wondering if there
is any way of extending notification processors and add this to all the
tasks.
Any pointers will be helpful.

Need info on Windchill IBA attributes.
I am trying to update the last modification date and the creation date on a Windchill Object, say WTPart, and while searching info regarding this I stumbled on IBA attributes.
I am new to Windchill and am not able to relate these kind of terminologies to the application.
So can somebody please explain to me what do IBA attributes in Windchill mean, and how are they different from other attributes of Windchill.
and if the last modification date and creation date of objects are IBA attributes, is there a way to update these attributes using a Windchill task so that we won't need to worry about updating these attributes directly to the database.

10.1 M050 end user Problems
We update to M050 as we had problems with nightly restart after backups with 040. PTC informed us that M050 will resolve the issue.
I installed M050 on a test server and tested same again on Production over the weekend. I test on several machines with different configuration. No problems.
Monday morning key users had problems. Two problems, the drag and drop was not working (and so browse did not work). I switched those users to Browse to upload files.
Problem two was a show stoppers. Doc Control could not see the Resulting Items section on the Implementation plan!
They could if they downloaded Chrome and used that - again no drag and drop.
Here is
there setup. Windows 7. IE 9 Java 6 (.45)
I switched ne user to Java 7 (.55) with no improvement.
I tested n Windows 7. IE 9 Java 7 (.55) without issue.
I have cleared all the temp files and cache on user end and server.

Anyone know how to do this - run a remote process and insure it is in the Windchill shell for a PC
I want to run psexec (part of Microsoft pstool set) to connect to a series of remote machines and kick off commands that are dependent on being in the Windchill shell. For example windchill start or windchill stop. I do not want to have any sort of daemon or scheduled job running - I want to essentially login the psexec and either be in the Windchill shell or start a windchill shell and tell it to do something. One way I can think to do this is to not bother and just make sure my environment matches the shell, but that seems like it will eventually break - I will get out of synch.
I would have thought this would be any easy problem to solve, but I am stumped a bit. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

where do this is
windchill start
but that does not work.

Revision of Part Instance
I have an Instance created for specific units of our product. I have released the Instance through the change process. We have had a change to a specific unit and I need to Rev the Instance from A to B and make the changes accordingly. When I do this, it makes the same change in the Rev A instance as the Rev B instance. Is there a way to stop this from happening so I am able to show a historical progression of this unit?

10.2 M030 CPS10 - Has anyone been able to compile the CATIA V5-6R2015 WGM Abstraction dll's?
Hi,
We have just updated our TEST System to 10.2 M030 CPS10 (only released today) and I am trying to compile the CATIA V5 Abstraction dll's for the WGM.
I have successfully compiled dll's for CATIA versions 18 to 24, but version 25 fails with the error saying "ERROR - Abstraction or loader files don't exist"
It seems a bit strange when setting up the compilation environment as the CATVBTsetup command does not show a Visual Studio checkbox, only showing an Eclipse/IBM Rational Applications one, which I think is indicative that something is wrong (presumably with the CATIA / API / RADE) software - but I have tried this with both GA and SP3 versions of the CATIA software and get the same issue. In which case, others should be seeing this problem too.
I have logged a call with PTC, but was wondering if anyone else had seen this?
