We are working with Windchill 9.1 and Pro/e Creo 5 (M110) and are facing on some large projects (1100 objects in workspace) long check in times (upto 35 minutes). All caches (ie and java) are cleared and the workspace and pro/e cach are at minimum required, still we face long delay times. There are also no errors in the method server logs, the user has a 1 Gb line and a HP Z220 unit with 12 GB ram.
Any ideas where the bottle neck could be ?

Windchill connections are managed by browser cookies. Delete all the cookies and you will delete the Windchill authentication cookies and with them the login.
I'm sure some finesse can be used to locate and remove just those cookies affecting the Windchill connection.
Has anyone seen this error in Windchill (10.1), when trying to upload a document (epmdoc). Specifically when attaching a .pdf to a .drw.
Users need to add a material spec sheet to the drawing, but the error actually happens with any type of file extension (word, powerpoint, txt, pdf, etc...)
"FAILURE - Attachment operation could not be performed"
I have checked for just about everything:
Any ideas out there? I would appreciate it. There a lot of users who are in this predicament.

I have an updated OIR that uses a different revision scheme. What actions is required for a CAD Document (EPMDocument) to follow updated OIR?
Is there a sertting that can be enabled to show the name of the file that is being saved, checked out or checked in in the log files? One of my users says he has lost some work and is positive he checked the files in. If this information was in the log files, I could verify if he did or not in the future.

exa. I have created the ABC ASM in windchill and its version is 1.2, now i made some structure change in it and its version became 1.3, later i thought old version is correct, is it possible to go back to old version by overriding the new one?

Under Preferences for Promotion Request is a setting for which promotion request workflow you want to use.
There is no similar setting for the Change Management preferences of Change Request, Change Notice or Change Activity. How do you select which workflow do use with these processes? The OIR for these specifies a renamed OOTB workflow for all three, but when I create a new Change Request, the OOTB workflow is being kicked off.
If I have the modified CR workflow enabled, then I get an error about having no permission to run the workflow.
Am I correct in assuming that the software is defaulting to the OOTB workflow when the one in the OIR is not enabled?
Any help in pointing to any documentation on how this works would be appreciated.

We are doing a poor man's migration with acquired WC data by Workspace exporting from the old data and Workspace importing to the current WC. There is a released pdf archive of this old data that will persist, showing Revisions and iterations for both drawings and models thru symbols at the drawings. We want to get the new-history iterations to match the pdf images. Some iterations were into the teens and are a pain to checkout-checkin to get to the new imports to match. What is a good way to quickly iterate these in WC without the many checkout / checkins?? Thanks in advance BW

New object "Assembly - 1901065.asm" has the same filename that already exists in the database in a restricted context. In order to upload this object, you must update this object in the workspace
I sse that 1901065.asm is not present in the commonspace. I am not sure whather it is present in other product.
Can anybody help me in resolving this problem?

I want to migrate date from an existing WC8 to WC10.2.
WC8 contains only documents, that I exported via Export/Import Manager.
Result of the data export is a XML file and the document itself.
However, the information in the XML file is insufficient.
The attributes "Modified by", "Last Modified", "Created by", "Created", "Updated by", "Last updated" are not included.
Can someone help me and tell me how to extract that data?
I think best solution to have a SQL query that outputs the number and the attributes mentioned above in a list.
Unfortunately I do not know the correct query.
Only the newest version of the document is necessary.

I found a similar issue in ptc knowledgebase at document CS59225 and also tried those solutions. But this exception is coming for every user. Already I have disable
three users so far. That document is talking about disconnected users in ldap. I got that issue while running my WinDU but later I fixed that and
completed my WinDU task without any failed tasks or problems.
Source system is using Active directory server. Will that be a root cause of this issue.? How should I proceed now. Please advice
